According to what has been mentioned in media about the Italian mozzarella cheese contaminated by dioxin, the SFDA confirms that it knew about the contamination since it happened and it has issued an article about it on its website on 24-3-1429H that equals 1-4-2008. The Italian government insured to the European Union that the contaminated products have not been exported out of Italy and the European Union ratified this information in its circular on 28-3-2008 , it also stated that the procedures done by the Italian government were accepted and no more procedures will be done by the European Union.
For this reason, the SFDA just published this news on its website. It also pursues this issue and if it is verified that these products are exported out of Italy, it will notify the relative government authorities to prevent them from interring the Saudi markets and then reaching the consumers.
